Oxford Instruments Gets with CallidusCloud's New Technology
By Jody Ray Bennett, TMCnet Contributing Writer
Cloud computing company, Callidus Software (News - Alert) Inc., yesterday announced that Oxford Instruments, a U.K. provider of tools and systems for industry and research, has chosen CallidusCloud’s Litmos LMS to oversee and expedite the rollout of its online training programs.
Through CallidusCloud’s RapidIntake product, also adopted by Oxford Instruments, training courses will be created and then distributed through Litmos LMS.
CallidusCloud’s Litmos LMS provides a mobile, user-friendly platform from which users can design and manage their own online courses. Among the features offered by this powerful platform is the ability to monitor student progression and test results.
This training system is touted by Callidus as taking only minutes to launch, and not requiring any outside resources or tech assistance.
The independence from tech support and outside resources this product provides is expected to significantly reduce the costs associated with instructor-led training and limited IT support.
Nevertheless, the firm is quick to market itself as a unique provider of this type of cloud software.
Yahoo! reported that, “Callidus Software Inc., doing business as CallidusCloud, is a leading provider of cloud software. CallidusCloud enables organizations to drive performance and productivity across their business with our hiring, learning, marketing and selling clouds. From back office to the field, from desktop to mobile, we ensure organizations have the right tools to be more effective and perform better.”
If successful, this informal partnership will be greatly beneficial for both companies, and Callidus will seem to have nowhere to go but up if customer demand continues to increase.
As online courses are becoming more popular with universities today, this is likely to happen, and Callidus seems to have found itself in a rather advantageous position.
