SciQuest Solution Streamlines Procure-to-Pay Process for University of Montana
By Shamila Janakiraman, TMCnet Contributor
The University of Montana will be using SciQuest’s Accounts Payable solution to streamline its complete procure-to-pay processes. This, and a full suite of cloud-based business automation solutions from SciQuest, will help The University of Montana to save considerably on time and money.
SciQuest specializes in cloud-based spend management solutions, and its Accounts Payable solution will help automate the entire accounts payable process while offering insight throughout the procure-to-pay process.
The University is using GrizMart as its electronic procurement system, powered by SciQuest. GrizMart allows campus faculty and staff to search and shop online for products and services.
Ian Robbins, director of Procurement Services, The University of Montana, said, “Since unveiling GrizMart, we’ve been able to streamline the order creation process and promote strategic supplier relationships, increasing overall costs savings and contract compliance.”
“With the addition of SciQuest’s Accounts Payable solution, we will be able to achieve additional efficiencies and automate manual tasks, freeing our staff to focus on more strategic objectives,” he added.
The SciQuest spend management solution will enable colleges and universities to manage the procure-to-pay process, consisting of sourcing, shopping, requisitioning and accounts payable. The SciQuest Accounts Payable offering also avoids manual processes for receiving, managing and paying invoices.
This helps organizations reduce invoice processing errors, costs and cycle times; avoid payment penalties, duplicate payments or overpayments; and capture prompt payment discounts.
John Fabris, vice president of higher education sales at SciQuest, remarked, “Accounts payable has traditionally been a cumbersome, time-consuming process creating inefficiencies that slow down the entire procurement cycle.”
The SciQuest solution lets higher education organizations leverage existing resources optimally and streamlines labor-intensive processes.
Recently, SciQuest unveiled the newest version of its spend management platform, featuring an improved supplier portal experience, accounts payable enhancements and a customized shopping persona for primary purchasing contacts.
SciQuest now provides a more flexible and detailed shopping experience for both buyers and sellers.
