The TeleTech (News - Alert) Community Foundation is employee-driven and for the eighth consecutive year its employees will forgo a corporate holiday party and the funds ensuing from such a move will be used to transform the educational experience for students with the greatest need.
Committed to dedicating its resources and expertise to schools and educational organizations that have a strong commitment toward serving such students, TeleTech selected University Prep, a tuition-free, kindergarten through fifth grade public charter school that is part of the Denver Public School district, noted company officials.
The “Spirit of the Season” holiday event, an annual effort by TeleTech employees, recognizes a different local school each year for its achievements. In the past eight years, many schools in Denver have been singled out.
On December 10th, the “Spirit of the Season” will ensure that the University's students and its families have the time of their lives. The full fledged event will usher in the holiday spirit with a holiday meal and a visit from Santa. Teletech will also provide 10 Smart boards and mobile carts for school.
“We are thrilled they accepted our invitation to participate in the TeleTech ‘Spirit of the Season.’ We are also proud to be working with the school on building a broader, longer term relationship through the Denver Public School's Foundation’s School Partners Program,” stated Richard Herbst, vice president of the TeleTech Community Foundation.
What attracted TeleTech to University Prep was its mission focusing on the concept of “education for all” and its stand that every student be prepared for college. Headed by founder David Singer, the school believes in inculcating strong educational values right in the beginning so that students can go on to earn a college degree.
University Prep is Located near the Five Points neighborhood in Denver and is led by its founder and head of school, David singer.
Ken Tuchman, chairman and CEO at TeleTech fully supported the move by the company employees to bring the joy of giving to the students of the school during the holiday season.
