Cedar Rapids Community School District Accepts AssetWorks' Fixed Asset Management Solution
By Mandira Srivastava, TMCnet Contributor
The Cedar Rapids Community School District (CRCSD) Board of Education will use AssetWorks for inventory appraisal services and a fixed asset management software solution.
CRCSD has voted to approve a committee recommendation to use AssetWorks services. The CRCSD committee has accepted separate proposals for inventory services and software solutions.
AssetWorks, a provider of appraisal services and software solutions to asset- and infrastructure-intensive businesses, was the only vendor submitting proposals in both categories.
Cedar Rapids Community School District is situated in Cedar Rapids, and serves over 15,000 students in grades k-12. Now Cedar Rapids Community School District can leverage the AssetWorks solution to conform to guidelines recommended by the Association of School Business Officials International and the Government Finance Officers Association.
"The ability of AssetWorks to seamlessly integrate software and services set them apart in terms of the value our district would receive," Steve Graham, executive director of Business Services for Cedar Rapids Community School District, said in a statement. "We are confident that AssetWorks solution meets the needs of our district, helping us effectively manage our fixed asset inventory."
First AssetWorks will start with comprehensive, onsite inventory services at CRCSD. This includes helping the district establish accurate capital asset records and determine useful life and depreciation schedules for all fixed assets and infrastructure.
Data gathers will be delivered to CRCSD in AssetWorks' asset management software solution, giving the district the ability to continue to manage and report on their fixed asset inventory.
AssetWorks' software solution was developed on cutting-edge technology and equipped with a dynamic reporting tool and automated workflow processes for adding, modifying and disposing of assets. This software solution can increase organizational efficiencies and streamline data communication processes for CRCSD.
