TargetX Adds Six More Colleges to Recruitment CRM

By Colleen Lynch, TMCnet Contributor

Six additional colleges will use the TargetX cloud-based CRM system for student recruitment and enrollment management, the higher education company recently announced.

TargetX boasts a comprehensive “Recruitment CRM,” which colleges can use to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their processes. The newly added schools hail from Alabama, California, Oregon, Michigan and South Carolina.

Schools include Auburn University, Birmingham-Southern College, College of Charleston, Concordia University, Ferris State University and Pepperdine University.

“It’s exciting to see how many colleges are embracing change and opting for a cloud-based recruiting solution like TargetX’s CRM,” said Brian Wm. Niles, the company’s CEO.

TargetX has been in operation since 1998, but its CRM system was designed more recently in 2008.

The system was built on the Force.com platform (of Salesforce.com (News - Alert)), and has experienced enough success with recruitment since its creation that the company has announced plans to expand.

TargetX has also announced plans to tap into the advancement and student-retention areas of the market, creating two new CRM tools – “Advancement CRM” and “Retention CRM” – to use in the cloud.

"It bodes well for our new student-retention and advancement tools since IT departments are looking for products that greatly improve efficiency, reduce costs and can be expanded across campus. And that's what they can look forward to with our new Enterprise CRM,” Niles added.

Benefits of TargetX’s Recruitment CRM include built-in electronic communication, e-mail broadcasting, a powerful event manager and an online application.

The company’s mission statement is available on its website, and boils down to a simple belief: “Colleges need to change the way they communicate with prospects and their families.”

Now with TargetX’s newest CRM, and two more in the works, students and recruiters alike will undoubtedly have more options in the coming years when it comes to that important step of applying and getting into college.
