At EDUCAUSE, Avaya intends to demonstrate solutions designed to improve experiences and productivity in key areas, while also helping growth in the market. With the online and interactive technologies available, students can now participate in classes and activities without the constraints of location or time. With AvayaLive Engage, students and faculty can collaborate with personalized avatars in a 3D environment. This way, users can collaborate in meetings, study sessions, and more over the Internet, meeting regardless of location. This is a much more preferable solution to having to sign up for “Second Life” to do something similar, and that’s speaking from experience. Avaya will also showcase the Radvision (News Safety, of course, is also important on campuses, and I don’t mean just computer safety. The Avaya Notification Solution is designed to deliver notifications of events such as warnings, closures, and administrative notes through multi-channel notifications, which can be received on a variety of endpoints. The firm also has an E911 solution that can locate a caller’s location, helping first responders react quickly. There’s no denying the importance of education, and anyone who would is probably not educated enough to even be reading this. Avaya’s solutions are great for helping students and staff work and communicate better than ever, helping students connect and gain an education regardless of location.
