Apple Appreciates Hult International's Effort to Go Digital

By Mini Swamy, TMCnet Contributor

Today, a whiff of fresh air blows through Hult International as it unshackles itself from outdated methods of learning and teaching to imbibe the waves of technology emanating from iPads. Innovative and forward thinking Hult has leapt across the bridge to meet students on their own wavelengths.

Hult International Business School is one of the institutions that has embraced technology giving students a unique and enjoyable learning experience. Apple (News - Alert) has recognized this effort and identified it as a ‘Standout School.'

“Our new status as a 'Standout School' recognizes that we are giving our students an experience beyond the confines of the traditional classroom," said Stephen Hodges, president at Hult.

Taking teaching and learning beyond the classroom, Hult International has integrated leading tech products into its learning experience. As part of this technology booster to connect students with the curriculum in a unique way, Hult has rolled out iPads to more than 1,600 Master students and faculty members in the current year.

This paved the way to increased productivity. All five of Hult's global campuses were linked with the iPad bond. Learning methods have evolved, teaching styles have changed and a sense of community has underlined the learning experience for students from various parts of the globe.

A beginning has been made at Hult and those students, who are waiting on the sidelines, for their turn will not be disappointed for by the end of 2012, every student has been promised an iPad. In addition,

more than 2,000 business students are expected to receive customized, on-campus training that is facilitated by Apple trainers.

Students at Hult International will also benefit from access to integral productivity apps, easy-to-navigate digital textbooks, and an instant polling app, which provides real-time feedback on classroom activities

The newly created 'Hult Reader' app will provide digital versions of key student documents, doing away with all the paper bulk.

"We've really focused our energy on giving everyone access to the best technology," said Khan, who has been working closely with third-party developers to create Hult's latest apps, adding, "It makes teaching more rewarding, and gives our students a real head start in the employment market."

Hult's one-year MBA program is ranked in the top 30 in the world by The Economist and 1st in International Experience by the Financial Times (News - Alert). Its latest iPad venture will perhaps raise its ranking a few notches higher.

The Sunnyvale, California Department of Public Safety has been making efforts to stop social media platforms from turning into bullying platforms by partnering with Yahoo’s Trust and Safety division to develop a free Digital Safety Diversion Program.
