Deltak’s Engage solution is created to enhance the online student experience with the help of improved instructor presence and social learning capabilities. Deltak Engage lets students, faculty, and administrators simply collaborate and interact at the course, program and university levels, building a strong sense of community and offering a richer learning experience by combining social learning, portfolio, and collaboration tools.
Recently, Saint Mary's University of Minnesota selected Deltak to provide a mobile app for three online master's degree programs using its new learning management system, Deltak Engage.
When the students register for the Master of Science in Project Management, Master of Human Resource Management and Master in Organizational Leadership online, they will get an iPad equipped with the learning platform and productivity apps, the company stated in a press release.
Making Saint Mary's University the first school to provide these online master's programs in this format, all coursework will be completely provided with the help of the iPad. The app aims to enhance student-to-instructor and student-to-student communication and interaction and is available to students beginning with the May 7 semester, the company stated.
“Today's students are increasingly social and technology driven," said Rob Schnieders, Chief Learning Officer at Deltak, in a company press release. "Online learners need a way to interact and clearly express ideas among their peers and with instructors. Saint Mary's use of the iPad and the Engage mobile app will foster relationships critical to retention and learning.”
