LoudCloud Rolls Out Cloud-Based Platforms for Universities, K-12 Institutions

By Erin Harrison, Executive Editor, Strategic Initiatives

Cloud education system provider LoudCloud Systems has rolled out two new technologies aimed to meet the needs of universities and K-12 schools to provide a more personalized learning and teaching experience.

The company has launched Adaptive Reader Technology (ART) and Behavioral Analytics Reporting System (BARS) Learning Management Ecosystems, which were designed with its customers’ needs in mind.

With LoudCloud’s customers departing from legacy-based technologies, the Dallas-based company saw a need to provide cloud-based services that would create a custom learning environment, according to Manoj Kutty, CEO of LoudCloud Systems.

“We believe that to deliver a better educational experience, a high quality educational platform must capture, profile, statistically analyze, and help improve content, student learning, and instructional engagement,” Kutty said. “Our customers have sought a radical departure from legacy solutions and instead, differentiating their eLearning programs by leveraging the latest in advanced learning technologies to deliver a highly personalized, adaptive and engaging student experience on a flexible and scalable platform.”

LoudCloud’s ART was developed to improve graduation and student success rates by accelerating mastery of learning and improving student engagement and retention through data driven instruction, company officials said. Meanwhile, LoudCloud’s BARS platform logs and audits every click activity of its users on the platform, analyzing the behavioral pattern of each user.

Company officials said that leveraging cloud-based computing technologies, the LoudCloud Ecosystems provide several deployment options including: adaptive and personalized student and teacher experiences; improved outcomes through predictive analytics; and a variety of cloud-based deployment architectures including on-premise or managed services.

LoudCloud client acquisitions in 2011 include Grand Canyon University (LOPE), Career Education Corporation (CECO) and Jefferson County School District, Colorado, which company officials said position the company “as an emerging leader in providing scalable, adaptable and data-driven instructional technology solutions to some of the world’s leading educational institutions.”
