ePals Purchases Newstogram Platform and DailyMe Service from Nexify

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

ePals Corporation, an education technology company, asserted that it has bought the Newstogram platform and the DailyMe service from Nexify, a provider of solutions for dynamic personalization for digital media and e-commerce.

Newstogram is supposed to be at the forefront of delivering hyper-relevant user experiences and has the belief that creating user experiences that are truly relevant to users requires a deep understanding of each user’s respective and unique interests. The platform focuses on delivering individual relevance by leveraging dynamic interest-profiles, built through tracking users’ daily interactions with a range of digital content.

DailyMe service is capable of changing the way news is read and delivered with its advanced personalized news experience that meets the needs of modern–day consumers by combining the best of journalism, technology, and community.

ePals would now get a robust technology platform for personalization of quality media and learning applications and equip itself to match learners with each based on interests with these acquisitions. Publishers who access the Newstogram platform will now be able to publish ‘educational’ content and get more depth to their offerings for family audiences.

Also Eduardo Hauser and Neil Budde have been appointed as President and EVP, respectively, of ePals' Media Division.

Hauser stated that Nexify’s technology powers advanced features for some of the world's major providers, and their team is excited to extend these capabilities into educational media, where personalized content delivery can yield meaningful and lasting results. ePals Media will continue to provide media technology to Nexify partners, integrate matching and recommendations technology to the existing ePals products suite, and create a wealth of opportunities for ePals content partners in both the existing ePals network and across the Newstogram network.

ePals added that it believes that the dynamic personalization and matching capabilities that the Nexify platform has already delivered in general news publishing will have transformational qualities in educational publishing and adaptive learning, as users are matched with quality content and other learners to increase student, teacher and parent engagement and drive demonstrably better outcomes.
