Toshiba (News - Alert) America Information Systems has announced they are introducing a new IP telephone, the IP5000-series.

 

The phone has an integrated Gigabit Ethernet for high-speed network connections directly to the desktop and the telephones are compatible with the Toshiba Strata CIX family of IP business communications systems.

 

Toshiba America Information Systems is an independent operating company owned by Toshiba America, a subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation, which deals in high technology and integrated manufacturing of electrical and electronic components, products and systems, as well as major infrastructure systems.

 

“Toshiba’s new IP5000 Telephones provide high-quality performance and sound in a stylish and functional desktop design,” said Juhli Jobi, product manager, Toshiba America Information Systems, Telecommunication Systems Division.

 

“Whether they are used for remote applications or by office workers who need a cost-effective VoIP solution, the new Toshiba IP5000 telephones deliver all the features and functionality of traditional digital telephones in an IP solution”.

 

Features added to the IP5000 telephones include an Octal-stand and a headset as well as an easy-to-read backlit LCD screen and other functionalities of a digital phone.

 

The mobility of the phones ensures they can be moved anywhere there is Internet access. When used remotely, Toshiba’s IP5000 telephones deliver all the features as if they were being used at the office, including both incoming and outgoing Caller ID, direct extension calling and more.

 

Toshiba’s new IP5000 telephones are available in three models IP5131-SDL, IP5132-SD and IP5122-SD and also available are three Add-On Modules LM5110, KM5020 and IDM5060.

 

Also from Toshiba, the DP5000-series digital telephones feature five models with up to 20 programmable buttons and backlit LCD screens. Add-on modules are also available for the digital telephones. The DP5000-series telephones replace Toshiba’s line of 3200-series digital telephones in the Strata CIX product line.

 

All products of the Strata CIX IP business communications systems and the Toshiba’s IP User Mobility feature work well with Toshiba IP5000. The IP phones can also be used as supported IP stations for Toshiba’s Video Communication Solution (VCS).
