Zcom Networks Makes its Play for Recognition in the VoIP Industry

Telecommunications and broadcast media company Zcom Networks said Friday that it has created a proprietary technology that enables complete broadband communications — including home, office and cell phone international dialing.
The company’s VoIP
technology makes it possible for businesses to make local and long-distance calls using the Internet rather than legacy phone networks, greatly reducing the associated cost.
Analysts expect the VoIP market to be worth $13.3 (annual revenue) in 2009, with adoption continuing to grow in North America, and parts of Europe (especially the central and Eastern regions). Small businesses in particular have an appetite for VoIP because it offers cost savings and enhanced features in easy-to-manage solutions.
Zcom aims to become a well-known VoIP brand by providing a complete broadband phone service with a variety of appealing features like worldwide access, support for WiFi
phones, competitive pricing, Web-based account maintenance, a referral program for friends and family, and enhanced voicemail.
The technology for Zcom’s VoIP system was developed through its subsidiaries — which include Matrix Management and Big Media Broadcasting. The company, which recently moved its headquarters to Los Angeles, California, focuses on telecommunications products, content radio and on-demand video delivered via the Internet.
Zcom is headed up by CEO and Chairman Alex Parsinia, who has more than 15 years of experience in the telecom industry. Before taking the reigns for Zcom, Parsinia was CEO at Supertel Communications, Signet Paper Company, Pioneer Envelope Company, and Allied Corporate investments. He also served as a professor at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California where he taught business strategy and mergers and acquisitions courses in that school’s executive MBA program.
Zcom appears to be a recently launched company, attempting to establish itself in a competitive market. Time will tell if it is successful.
