IP Telephony Remains an 'Education Job' for Small Business

IP telephony adoption has increased dramatically in the last two years: from 17 percent in 2008 to 27 percent in 2010, an increase of 59 percent, among small and mid-sized companies, according to Consultant Dan Sachar of Inzenka, a management consultancy.

Up to this point, however, adoption has been heaviest among organizations with more than 100 employees. The biggest opportunity is among firms with 20 to 50 employees, the survey suggests. “About two thirds of respondents at firms with 20 to 100 employees say they are likely to adopt IP telephony within the next two years,” said Sachar...
