Adaptive Curriculum and JP - Inspiring Knowledge Partner to Combine Hardware and Software Into Learning Tool for Worldwide Initiative
SCOTTSDALE, AZ, Feb 11, 2013 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
Adaptive Curriculum (AC), an award-winning web-based concept mastery
solution for math and science, has entered into a partnership with JP
- Inspiring Knowledge (JP-IK), a global leader in ICT-based
educational initiatives, dedicated to the design, development and
distribution of technology solutions. The new alliance will combine
hardware from JP-IK with Adaptive Curriculum's education solutions to
create an inclusive learning tool for schools across the world.
Based in Portugal, JP-IK manufactures and distributes Intel
Classmate-based devices within a popular line of rugged netbooks,
tablets, and convertible PCs that have proven popular in schools all
over the world. Under the new agreement, JP-IK will distribute
Adaptive Curriculum's AC Math and AC Science solutions as well as
Vitamina, the company's Spanish instructional solution developed
specifically for Latin America.
"Our goal is to become a one-stop shop that Ministries of Education
can rely on for professional services, academic content,
implementation and professional development," said Jorge Sa Couto,
Chairman of JP-IK. "Adaptive Curriculum shares our vision of
fostering human development through technology. That, coupled with
the quality of their instructional content and approach, made them
our choice for this enterprise."
The integration of AC solutions fulfills JP-IK's mission of providing
high-quality instructional content and is also part of JP-IK's
centralized software approach, which is designed to facilitate
effective management of its technology systems and ensure that
content is accessible in different ways. AC's active learning
approach also further s JP-IK's goal of introducing teachers and
students to a new way of teaching and learning, respectively.
"JP-IK has established itself as the largest Intel OEM with
significant distribution in Latin America. When the World Bank funds
initiatives in places like Portugal, Peru, Venezuela, Argentina, the
Middle East, etc., devices from JP-IK are almost always a key
component," said Jim Bowler, CEO of Adaptive Curriculum. "With their
global reach and leadership position in ICT-based education, we
couldn't ask for a better partner for helping to develop the world's
future scientists and mathematicians."
