Raymond D. Cotton to Speak at Annual Meeting of National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities
WASHINGTON --(Business Wire)--
Raymond
D. Cotton, Vice President of Higher Education of ML
Strategies, LLC and a Member of Mintz,
Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., will be speaking at
the annul meeting of the National Association of Independent Colleges
and Universities. The meeting is being held February 3-6 in Washington,
D.C.
Mr. Cotton will be speaking at the conference on February 5th. The topic
of his session is: "Presidential Employment Agreement: Necessity,
Negotiation and the Issues." He will be discussing the current status of
presidential contracts and compensation.
Mr. Cotton represents higher education and other non-profit executives
and boards of trustees. His clients include colleges, universities,
associations, and other non-profits. He has represented over 300
university boards of trustees, college presidents, and other non-profit
executives during his more than 25 years in practice. He frequently
counsels both boards of trustees and presidents on such matters as
contracts, executive compensation, performance evaluation, goal-setting,
current and deferred compensation, Intermediate Sanctions,
Sarbanes-Oxley, and best practices for managing non-profit institutions.
Mr. Cotton is a frequent speaker on the programs of higher education
associations. He is also a regular contributor to the Chronicle of
Higher Education. He was listed in the 2012 edition of Chambers USA:
American's Leading Lawyers for Business for Employee Benefits and
Executive Compensation in Washington, DC. Mr. Cotton was also named
