Denise Keane, Stasia Kelly Elected to Board of Leadership Council on Legal Diversity

Denise Keane (News - Alert) of Altria Group and Stasia Kelly of DLA Piper have been elected to the Board of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD).

Ms. Keane serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Altria, where she leads the company's Law Department and the Corporate Secretary's office. She also serves on the American Bar Association's Commission for Women in the Profession.

Ms. Kelly serves as Co-Managing Partner of DLA Piper (Americas), where her responsibilities range from managing the firm's Corporate Gvernance practice to its White Collar Crime Investigations group. She also teaches at Stanford Law School and serves as editor of Corporate Counsel's Project 5/165, designed to increase the number of women General Counsel in Fortune 500 companies.

Founded in 2009, the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) is made up of more than 200 General Counsel and Managing Partners of the nation's leading corporations and law firms. It has created programs to develop diverse legal talent, strengthen the legal pipeline, and establish partnerships between firms and clients to diversify leadership of the legal profession.
