The Congress of Neurological Surgeons Endorses AOSpine North America's Controversies in Complex Spine Surgery Course

AO North America and AOSpine North America recently announced the endorsement of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons for the upcoming Controversies in Complex Spine Surgery Course taking place February 1-3, 2013 at the Hyatt Escala, Park City, Utah.

Spine surgery is constantly evolving. From advances in molecular and cell biology and material sciences that can be applied to treatment of musculoskeletal disorders to minimally invasive surgery, these rapid changes can challenge the most experienced neurological and orthopaedic spine surgeon. This highly interactive course focuses on advances, complications, controversies, and outcomes in the treatment of complex spinal problems. Motion preservation, bone biology, and minimally invasive surgery will be covered in depth as well as diagnostic issues, treatment methods, patient selection, and indications for surgical techniques and approaches to these problems.

The course format will include brief lectures and panel discussions with expert faculty, case presentations, and small group discussions.

To assist with your MOC requirements, AO North America andAO Spine North America will offer concurrent Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery discussion sessions around the AAOS and CNS self assessment examination questions in preparation for Maintenance of Certification Part II.

This educational activity has been endorsed by the Congress of Neurological Surgeons as relevant to the practice of Neurological Surgery and meets the criteria for Category I Neurosurgical Credits as defined by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
