Two of Middle Georgia's Favorites Partner for a Successful Charity Auction
Griffin, Georgia, Jan 18, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) --
Southern Pit BBQ is partnering with Rock Springs Christian Academy to raise money through their 7th Auction. Rock Springs Christian Academy holds its' largest fund raiser in February every year to raise money for Rock Springs Christian Academy. This event raises tens of thousands of dollars to provide a Christian Education at an affordable cost.
Rock Springs Christian Academy Director Lee Nelson had this to say about this year's auction: "Each year we have an auction to raise money for our school. This year we would love to make enough money to upgrade our technology in preschool and elementary and open a new 8th grade in the Middle School. (Rock Springs has added a new grade each year over the past several years.) The auction consists of several parts-a silent auction with hundreds of items that you can walk around and bid on, a live auction that has around 50 large ticket items with live bidding, a "Deal or No Deal" & raffle where people can donate and win items like an IPad, Large Flat Screen, one year's tuition etc. Come out and join us February 23rd, from 11:00 to 4:00 at Rock Springs Christian Academy in Milner, Georgia."
Southern Pit is excited to be serving BBQ at this event. We will be serving a "picnic" style dinner that will include a BBQ Pork Sandwich, Lays Potato Chips, and an ice cold Coca-Cola. Southern Pit was also privileged to serve a similar offering last year at Rock Springs Annual Men's Conference serving over 1000 men and volunteers.
At Southern Pit we always strive to find opportunities to help and serve in our community. We believe our 29 years of success comes from serving our community and friends. We want our community service to be well known like our BBQ Pork, Chicken, and Ribs. Above all, we are excited to be involved in helping this ministry provide strong Christian Leaders for future generations....
