Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Recruits White House Chief Information Officer Brook Colangelo
BOSTON --(Business Wire)--
Global education leader Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) today announced
the appointment of Brook Colangelo as Chief Information Officer
(CIO). Colangelo joins the Company from the Executive Office of the
President of the United States of America, where he held the role of CIO
since 2009.
Reporting to HMH President and CEO Linda Zecher, Colangelo will drive an
enterprise-wide IT strategy designed to support all business units
across the Company in delivering best-in-class educational solutions.
Based in HMH's global headquarters in Boston, he will hold
responsibility for core IT operations and infrastructure services across
HMH's global office network.
With over ten years' experience in technology strategy and
implementation, Colangelo joined the White House team in 2008 to
spearhead the Obama-Biden transition project. Prior to that, he held
several senior IT leadership roles, including within the Democratic
National Convention Committee, he American Red Cross' Hurricane
Recovery Program and QRS Newmedia.

100, and InformationWeek's The Government CIO 50 lists.
