CEA Applauds Senate's Confirmation of FCC Commissioner Clyburn

The following statement can be attributed to Gary Shapiro (News - Alert), president and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)^®, regarding the Senate's confirmation of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC (News - Alert)) Commissioner Mignon Clyburn.

Next week, innovation meets policy at the Innovation Policy Summit at the 2013 International CES (News - Alert)^®. The summit will host discussions from top government officials and representatives from startups and established consumer electronics companies to highlight the relationship between groundbreaking products and technology policies at the 2013 CES, the world's largest innovation event, January 8-11, 013, in Las Vegas. The session titled "The FCC's Regulatory Agenda for 2013" will bring together four FCC Commissioners, The Honorable Robert McDowell (News - Alert), The Honorable Mignon Clyburn, The Honorable Jessica Rosenworcel and The Honorable Ajit Pai. The panel session will start at 2:45 p.m., on Wednesday, January 9, in the Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall, N254.
