BRIEF: WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Lady Wranglers back on court

Jan 01, 2013 (Odessa American - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Odessa College women's basketball team will hit the court for the first time in almost a month when its competes in New Mexico Junior College's Tate Branch T-Bird Shootout in Hobbs, N.M.


The Lady Wranglers (9-3) will play the University of Chihuahua at 1 p.m. today, and battle Southwest Texas College at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

Odessa College last played Dec. 4, defeating Wayland Baptist's junior varsity 85-50. Angenay Williams led the Lady Wranglers with a game-high 24 points.

Morgan Holly, Kiera Waters, Alissa Campanero and Carisia Gutierrez all finished in double figures in the victory.

The Lady Wranglers come into the tournament with a four-game winning streak.
