SmartBrief Launches Professional Development Team
WASHINGTON --(Business Wire)--
In a move to serve its 120+ employees better and continue its strong
growth, Washington D.C.-based digital publisher SmartBrief, Inc. has
tapped two industry leaders to steer its new Professional Development
Team.
Janis Becker and Kwanza Nunn bring more than 30 years of combined
experience and a diverse set of recruitment and career development
skills to the company.
Ms. Becker is charged with leading the Talent Development function at
SmartBrief. In this role, Janis is responsible for reinforcing and
articulating the culture in addition to developing talent and leadership
across the organization. A former Vice President at Lehman Brothers (News - Alert),
Janis received her BA in Psychology from the University of Maryland, as
well as her MA in Industrial and Oganizational Psychology from Columbia.
Ms. Nunn joins SmartBrief from Berkshire Hathaway Media Group and serves
as Talent Acquisition and Development Manager. In her role, she is
responsible for recruiting top talent to the company, across a wide
variety of skill sets and industries. Kwanza also previously served as a
Corporate Recruiter and Talent Acquisition Manager at Media General, and
has a BS in Marketing from Tuskegee University.
