Eden Prairie, MN, Dec 18, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) --
The recently redeveloped City of Eden Prairie website received two awards in the 2012 MarCom Awards competition. The City website picked up a Gold MarCom in the Government Website category as well as an Honorable Mention in the Web Design category.
Eden Prairie's award-winning government website was launched in April 2012. Since then, the modern design, user-friendly navigation and innovative eGov technology have transformed communication and engagement between the City and its citizens, visitors and local businesses.
"Winning this award is affirmation of the planning and hard work that went into developing and launching our new website," said Eden Prairie Communications Manager Joyce Lorenz. "Our Vision project team was amazing and made the process much less daunting than we'd anticipated."
The City website was redeveloped in partnership with Vision Internet, a leader in government website design and development. Its innovative government content management system - the visionCMS(TM) - is the technological backbone of the new Eden Prairie website. It allows City staff members to easily manage site updates and provides users with new dynamic engagement features.
