QlikTech Customer Cheezburger Named Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader
RADNOR, Pa. --(Business Wire)--
QlikTech,
(NASDAQ:QLIK) a leader in Business Discovery - user-driven Business
Intelligence (BI), today announced that Loren Bast, director of business
intelligence at Cheezburger, has been named one of Computerworld's 2013
Premier 100 IT Leaders. Cheezburger,
a QlikTech customer since 2011, is a Seattle-based online humor network
responsible for the popular FAIL Blog and LOLcats meme. The company
began with the website "I Can Has Cheezburger " and has since launched
or acquired over 30,000 sites.
In 2011, Cheezburger deployed QlikView with the goal of growing its user
base and ensuring that site visitors were happy with the company's
services. Bast and his team knew this could be accomplished by
understanding what features on the Cheezburger site were driving
engagements and visits, and which were not. Bast and his team began to
understand of the company's web activity on a much more granular level,
giving them a better assessment of the overall health of the company.
Bast can now log the core activities that users engage with, such as
page views, content submissions, email behaviors, and so on. The results
have changed the company's behavior. Now, if a new website feature is
launched and doesn't perform, the team receives alerts in critical
reporting dashboards that allow them to correct their course.
Each year, IDG's Computerworld
- the IT media brand dedicated to providing peer perspective, IT
leadership and business results - announces the 2013 Computerworld
