BRIEF: Johnson & Wales names winners of 2012 Sharkfest business contest

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Five people, including four students and one alumnus, have been named winners of the second annual entrepreneurship contest at Johnson & Wales University in Providence.
The JWU SharkFest event, held on campus Wednesday attracted more than 150 entrants, who competed for $5,000 in total prizes, as well as free business-support services, to help launch start-up companies or to create products.
The winners and their competition categories are: Eric Weiner, Alumni; Jessica Funa, Business; Terazha Pits, Culinary; Brandon Monti, Social Venture; and, Taylor Niver, Technology.
