Juan Bautista de Anza Online Charter School to Hold Dec. 13 Community Open House in Salton City
SALTON CITY, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
Juan Bautista de Anza Online Charter School (JBDA), a tuition-free
public school, invites the community to an open house at its Salton City
Learning Center, 2101 South Marina Drive, Suite 4, Salton City from 12
p.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 13. The public is invited to tour the
facility, meet the staff and learn about the innovative online and
site-based program during its open enrollment period for spring 2013.
Juan Bautista de Anza offers a blended educational model that combines
the best of 21st century online learning with one-on-one teacher support
from on-site instructors. In addition to an online curriculum with UC
A-G approved courses provided by online learning leader Advanced
Academics, students have the opportunity to participate in monthly field
trips, service learning projects and an equine leadership program.

Juan Bautista de Anza is a comprehensive middle and high school program
that serves students in Imperial, Orange (News - Alert), Riverside and San Diego. The
school offers a California state standards-based curriculum with more
than 150 core, Advanced Placement and elective courses. Courses are
delivered completely online and available anywhere with a computer and
an Internet connection. Students can complete their schoolwork remotely
at a location of their choice or on-site at JBDA learning centers in
Salton City and San Marcos. Students receive personalized support and
instruction from state-credentialed online teachers who hold bachelor's
or master's degrees in their subject area and have significant online
and traditional classroom experience.
