Seek relies on education as job ads decline
Nov 29, 2012 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) --
CEO Andrew Bassat revealed at Seek's AGM on 29 November 2012 that online job advertisements have fallen gradually and consistently since the start of 2012-13. The news pushed the Australian-listed firm's shares down 1.2 per cent, to $A6.60. Bassat still expects the online employment agency to post record annual results in 2012-13, with revenue and EBITDA "moderately greater" than the previous year's record. Seek's net profit rose by 35 per cent in 2011-12, to $A132 million.
