COPD Foundation Hosts 2012 Annual Awards and Recognition Benefit in New York City, Honors 50th Anniversary of the Discovery of Rare Genetic Disorder
WASHINGTON --(Business Wire)--
To recognize organizations and community leaders dedicated to
fighting Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) through
innovation, healing and prevention, the COPD
Foundation will host the 2012
Annual Awards and Recognition Benefit, Thursday, Dec.
6, 2012, 6:30-9 p.m., at the Patricia D. Klingenstein Library, The
New-York Historical Society, 170 Central Park West, New York, N.Y.
"The COPD Foundation is proud to honor the Alpha-1 Foundation on
its 50th anniversary of discovering the Alpha-1 Gene and for playing an
instrumental role in funding the COPD Foundation," says John Walsh,

is dedicated to providing the leadership and resources that will result
in increased research, improved health, worldwide detection, and a cure

Financial Planning for People Living with COPD. Authored by Martin
Shenkman, CPA, MBA, J.D., the book is a unique and critically
important resource for individuals affected by COPD.
