Ron Dayne is 2012 Champion for Children
MADISON, Wis. --(Business Wire)--
Former Badger and NFL football super star and Heisman Trophy winner, Ron
Dayne, has signed on with the Celebrate Children Foundation to support
this year's Champion for Children Campaign. The campaign supports
the Foundation's mission to help build the best child care programs for
children from birth to age five in communities across Wisconsin.
"I'm proud to endorse the important work of the Celebrate Children
Foundation and to help them reach their fundraising goal of $30,000 for
this campaign. We can't allow our children to slip through the cracks
and enter school unprepared to learn. I've partnered with the Celebrate
Children Foundation team to ensure all young kids in Wisconsin get the
early start they need to succeed in school and in life and that is
important to me," Dayne said.
"We are thrilled that Ron has joined our cause to raise funds, so that
every child in Wisconsin can benefit from a safe and positive early
learning environment and parents can access essential resourcesin order
to place their children in the best possible care setting," said Jim
Leonhart, Foundation President. "Almost three quarters of Wisconsin kids
attend child care centers and preschools while their parents work.
Research shows brain development is so rapid during the preschool years
that high quality child care and education can be tied directly to
kindergarten readiness, better high school graduation rates and
ultimately, the quality of our future workforce and economy."
The Champion for Children campaign kicks off Nov. 19, but you can
contribute now. Join Ron Dayne and become a Champion for
Children by sending your donation to the Celebrate Children Foundation,
110 E. Main St., Suite 810, Madison, WI 53703 or by donating online at www.celebrate-children.org.
