BRIEF: Forest Acres high school placed on lockdown after armed robbery

FOREST ACRES, S.C. -- A.C. Flora High School was placed on lockdown Tuesday after a nearby store was robbed.
A man robbed the Vitamin Shop on Beltline Boulevard near Forest Drive about 9:19 a.m., Forest Acres Police Department spokesman Brian Hinson said. After the robbery the man, armed with a pistol and wearing a mask, rode off on a bicycle.
The lockdown is just a precaution until police can be sure robber has left the area near the school, Hinson said. Once the scene is cleared, the lockdown will be lifted.
