Toolwire Ranks #37 on San Francisco Business Times' Fast 100 List
Pleasanton, CA, Nov 09, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) --
Toolwire, a leading provider of online Experiential Learning products and services, announced today that it has been ranked #37 on the San Francisco Business Times' Fast 100 list of rapidly growing private companies in the Bay Area. Amongst a group dominated by tech and advertising companies, Toolwire stood out as the second fastest growing Bay Area company in the field of education and the 12th fastest growing company in the East Bay.
This achievement adds to Toolwire's accolades in recent months. In August, Toolwire was named to the Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. Also, in June Toolwire won the National University Technology Network (NUTN) "Distance Education Innovation Award - Corporate Division" for its development of online immersive learning simulations (Toolwire Learnscapes) that provide students "virtual internships" in fields such as Health Care, Business Management, First Year Experience programs, and more.
Toolwire's emergence as a top Bay Area business is a reflection of increased interest in online education. "The two greatest drivers of growth in our society today are education and technology, and we are positioned at the intersection of both of these fields," commented David James Clarke IV, Toolwire's Vice President of Learning Solutions. "We are very excited about this recognition, and we are committed to continue creating innovative platforms for online learning."
The award recognizes privately held Bay Area companies with revenue of at least $200,000. Alumni of the list include some of the most well-known Bay Area companies, including Saleforce.com and Jamba Juice. The award was printed in a special supplement to the October 26th edition.
"Each year we uncover a new wave of innovative growing companies, and we are always intrigued by their stories," wrote Marty Huss, Publisher of the San Francisco Business Times.
"From 2008 to 2011, Toolwire achieved over 233% growth by creating a new publishing business partner strategy that made it a "no-brainer" for customers to be able to do business with their new partners," commented John Valencia, President and CEO, Toolwire. "In the coming year, we expect to expand our strategic investment in immersive learning simulations by adding gamification and adaptive learning capabilities. We plan to deliver over 100 million minutes of these market-leading simulations in 2013."
